Bidding farewell to December

Hey there, it's been a month since my last short post !
December has been a hectic month that is full with celebrations !

Let's see what was it that I was caught up with in the beginning of the month..
SHOPPING! hahaha.. Year end shopping with Jia Yi at her favourite mall.
I guess it's her favourite since she's been going there every weekend.
Me myself hasn't been out much to shop and I must say, it felt good once a while.
I must also thanks my personal Sunway Pyramid tour guide, Miss Jia Yi ! haha..
She's like the ambassador of the mall.
That day ended with a shot of Christmas decoration all around the mall and some pink shopping bags.

It feels as though a curse to me, since I don't fancy pink, and I got pink shopping bags from the places where I bought my stuff from.
But some note to myself for shopping on weekends, Don't go shopping on weekends, otherwise, go early. The parking is chaos ! It took me nearly 45 minutes just to get myself a parking.

That week too, I met up with Johnson during my lunch hour. It feels good to meet up with uni friends again. I miss the rest of the gang, but I was too occupied. Got some souvenir from Johnson as well. Thanks Johnson =)

And then there's Yen's farewell dinner in a Japanese BBQ at Taman Desa, where we need to cook by ourselves.

That night has opened my eyes to the other side of my colleagues ! It was enjoyable at some point. But it could be better. But nevertheless, wishing Yen all the best in her career =D

On the 14th of December, we congratulated Loh Foo on tying the knot with his beautiful bride. I couldn't get a nice shot with my phone camera, but they were both good looking bride and groom !
Congratulations again on their wedding ! ^_^

Some selfies of ourselves on that night. =P

The following Thursday, that's my team building !
As organized by our team members, we have a full day team building right from breakfast till dinner!
First started with breakfast at Subway, then off we go in 4 cars with 8 people to Escape Room at e@Curve. There's a few difficulty to choose from, my boss picked the 5 stars one, while the remaining 4 of us picked the 4 stars one.

It was fun and challenging but we did not win the game. To be honest, it's quite expensive if it's not on the company budget. hahaha.. yeah, I'm a cheapskate. Roughly RM32 per person per game of 45 minutes. If you like puzzle games, I think this is quite interesting to go for it.

At the end of each game, whether you lose or win, you'll get to take home a Polaroid photo and another shot taken with a digicam that will be posted in their Fb page. Look at the other team's photo ! They covered the loser banner. Smart.

Then we went for lunch at Ikea !
SUPER FULL. I can't even finish the remaining 2 meatballs. Lesson learned for being too greedy.
Well, I'm gonna use the next activity as an excuse.. "There's badminton after that, I can't be too full before a sports !" There.. sounds legit right?

But I'm not lying ! There was a sport activity after the meal at nearby sports center.
It's fun to do sports with a team, I haven't done that for a year since my uni. I wonder if my uni friends still organize badminton every Fridays.

After the game there was a heavy rain where we waited in the sports complex until it's not so heavy before we walk to Kayu Nasi Kandar nearby for our final item in the itinerary, dinner. As I was too full from the lunch, I only have tosai and drinks.
It was a great one all in all, I truly enjoyed the company and the activity, despite the bad jam heading back to office after the activity, which took us more than an hour stuck in jam. It's the peak hour after all.

The day after, there's Christmas party in my office where there's food and Secret Santa gift exchange. I got mine from Whisly, a necklace hidden in a socks ! Thanks Whisly !

That day's "teabreak" was awesome ! Loads of variety of food from all over the places we used to get our teabreak from. Namely, muffins from Kenny Rogers, Pie Tee from TCRS, Pizza from dominos, fried chicken from KFC and carbonated drinks. No wonder I've gained weight ever since I entered this company !

That night, we had farewell dinner with Jon at another Japanese BBQ at Taman Desa, but this one, we don't need to cook the meat ourselves ! We ordered some cocktails. Interestingly, it came in a kettle !
Don't underestimate this drink in the small glass, "It's enough to kill an elephant !" hahaha.. as quoted from Poh. So we were there, chatting, eating, drinking, and Wai Kun arrived, after a glass, he requested for refill ! OMG. There we were trying to finish it so we could end the torment and get ourselves some nice beer. HAHAHA , that was hilarious as WK doesn't know what drink it was ! So we died twice trying to finish the drinks. We're the elephant that night. Regardless, with everyone's help, we manage to finish the second kettle.
Then we each order ourselves a bottle (or more) of Kirin beer.. It's nice and smooth =D .. i rike..

The next night, there's Christmas gathering with Jon's friend. We started off with dinner at Maiu Japanese Buffet. We ordered a crazy amount of salmons and lots of other sushi.
Then we head over to LoudSpeaker for some karaoke. It was fun to see each and everyone of them singing their hearts out. Then the highlight of the night, the Secret Santa gift exchange !

It was truly an awesome night and I enjoyed myself there. Then we call it a night (midnight in fact)

The next day was a special day for my dearest, Jon.. It's his big day as he turned 26, and it was also a winter solstice day. That day we did not go out for celebration. Instead, we made it a simple celebration at home with his family. What's more important than to celebrate the special day with the ones who made this all happened?

I helped out his mom in making the tang yuen for the winter solstice celebration. I was surprised that his mom's tang yuen was the small type.
I had fun making these as my home did not have such culture. We don't regularly have it at home. And what's more important, is that I got to spend some bonding time with his mom =P earning some cookie points, I hope.

Since we spend quite a long time making the balls, it was almost dinner time, we cancelled the plan of dining out as it's late and we had simple dinner at home. It's still good ! =D I always liked his mom's cooking. She made it looks so simple yet detailed with the taste. She's such an amazing cook. I hope I can cook like her one day. Since Jon is so picky. *pressure*

That night, we celebrated Jon's birthday.

Happy Birthday, babe ! ^_^

Then last Saturday, we went to a friend of Jon's wedding as the friend of the bride. We were placed with other people at a table since we do not know anyone else in the event. But gladly enough, the people at our table were friendly and some of them have a cool background. We felt so small just being at the same table as he is.
Here comes the bride and groom ! Both cheerful and bubbly personality. They're so meant for each other. They made people feels nice to be around with. Eventhough this is the first time I met her, she gave me the impression that she's very friendly.

Congratulations to both of you in this wonderful night.

And that was the 28th December night ! I've pretty much summarized my December highlight in a post. There will be another gathering for New Year's celebration with Jon's friends.

Nevertheless, Happy 2014 in advance everyone !

What a day !

In such short time during lunch, I saw so many familiar face !

Just feel like blogging it, because it's rare for me.
First, before we enter parking to Jaya One, I saw my cousin walking pass the parking entrance.
I bet I didn't see the wrong person ! Although he has gained weight.

Then, well, I didn't see anyone at the restaurant I'm having lunch at.

Oh wells, BUT!! I did saw a uni mate, ex career unit director. HAHA. while we're heading down the stairs, he didn't see me of course.
He's on his way into a restaurant. I guess it's a fast food chain or something. Not too sure.

Then while we're at Starbucks, I keep having the feeling that I'm going to meet someone I knew in there.
I looked around, none of the customers I knew.
Then I heard someone called my name, "Joanne !"
I thought, "Wow, which customer have same name as I do?"
Then I saw Christopher, a friend in the same neighborhood, and also can be considered my schoolmate, at the counter.
Part-time for the day.
Such a coincidence ! I really didn't see him.

Who's next? I mean, which category next?
HAHA.
I think Botak can be considered under the colleague category.
Now all I need to meet is my elementary school friend.
XIAOLI AHHH!! MANA U~

Pepero day!

11-11 marks a special day celebrated by the koreans as pepero day. Why pepero? In our country, we're more familiar with this

Rocky sticks! 11 means couple. 11-11 just doubles it. and since Pepero comes in sticks, just like our Rocky sticks, so they named it as pepero day.

I don't rili think it means we should eat more rocky on this day. But it's simply just something. haha.

Regardless, I got to spend some time with my dearest today and tried out the new kfc crazy crunch!

It was good. But little bit is good. Too much ... well, too much of anything is not good anyway. haha.

Anyway, that's our simple pepero day celebration. I wonder how does everyone else celebrate theirs :D

I should have studied law.

Leaving the world without a will is indeed troublesome to the people who are still alive. I don't blame her. Just that none of us family members know anything about legal stuff.  Who would have known, to settle all these would require so many steps to proceed. No wonder they say it'll take years if we don't know how to do it.

Anyone have any idea? How much the legal fee for an LA (Letter of Administration) ?

We were charged 5k for this at first. We were already in the state of shocked when we heard the amount. At first, the lawyer asked his assistant, she said 5-6k , and so, the lawyer quoted us 5k. Fine, 5k even though we're not wealthy but it's less hassle than to deal with legal stuff when we ourselves not good at it. We paid a deposit of 1k. Few things I was quite disappointed with this firm. It's not fair for me to "promote" them here since we haven't settle this up yet. I'll see if I want to "promote" them over the internet. Although their websites are everywhere.

Anyway, back to the topic, few things that made me disappointed with this firm:

1) On the day when we discuss whether we want to get this lawyer or not, he insist on saying "Don't talk about money. If want to talk about money, then there's nothing to talk". Very arrogant.

2) Contact me for follow up 1 week later, asked me to go over to JPN to extract my mom's death cert. I did told her (another lawyer that deal with me) that I have another copy, whether I could use that or not. She INSISTED that I go over to their firm and then to JPN to extract the cert. WHAT? Since government offices don't open over the weekend, it has to be on weekday. WHAT? Don't I need to work? How much are they paying me back if I have to take leave? I even asked her to explain to me what does "extract" means, just so that I don't get her wrong. Probably it's a legal procedure, I wouldn't know. Then she said, I need to go, fill up a form, and extract the death cert. If I'm not free to go, my dad or brother could replace me and do it. WHAT? Then why can't you just use the extracted death cert? No, she insist. Then I have to call back. Then only this time is the first lawyer who deal with me, answered the phone. He said I don't have to go. Since I have 2 copies, I'll just have to give them one. PFFT! LOUSY, INEXPERIENCED!

3)  So I went on that weekend to the lawyer's firm to pass them the extracted death cert. I sat down at the room for more than 30 minutes, just to wait them PRINT the documents. I have already informed that I would be there on Saturday. Why don't they prepare it earlier? Never mind the wait, even the printing have error. Our names, the items to be administered, ID number, etc. Then I called up and they said will email me the corrected version. Still with a lot of errors. Doing some half-assed work. pfft. So NOT PROFESSIONAL. That also I need to print them on my own! How about I charge them back the ink and paper value? We were charged additional 1.5k for the disbursement.

Dad would be there to talk to them this weekend as I am busy. I hope things work out. If not, I'll be pissed. Suddenly from 5k to 6k and with additional 1.5k AND 6% govt tax. WTF.

Total up came to 5360 + 1.5 ! If they insist on charging that high, I'm gonna ask for the breakdown.

Anyway, anyone with experience on this? How much does an LA usually cost? I feel like it's such a rip off. Agreement on 5K has been made though. But it's good to know what's the actual amount.

Sleepy but still awake.

It's a long day today, but I guess I fully utilize this whole day. (I suppose)

Woke up early today to send Azam and his sis today to the airport. It has been awhile since I last met Azam. Since.. convo? HAHA.
It's just THAT long.
I had fun while chatting on the way.
I wonder if everyone looks different after uni life.
Haven't keep in touch much with the rest of the uni friends.
Somehow I felt Azam has grown. *HAHAHAHAHAH*
Probably with all the chatting, it doesn't feel like an hour journey to KLIA.

I was so blur this morning that I forgot to take our pictures when we reached KLIA.
This has became a pictureless post again..
Skandel has the picture though from his camera.
I took out my phone and wanted to snap with it, but I... don't know why.. I.. didn't.... OTL
And I was lost on my way back. orz.

Got home and went out again with dad for breakfast then settle some personal stuff. Then back home to do some chores and had steamed sweet potato for lunch! Perfect for cold weather like today.
Quite unusual since I rarely favour sweet potato in any form. But I enjoyed it. Maybe because I was too hungry.

Played game for awhile and it's time for dinner again. Went out to local pasar malam and bought char kuey teow! I was super bloated after drinking the big pack of soya bean.

Life is so wonderful with food ^_______________^

Yeah, I'm spamming randomly on my blog because I can't sleep. I'm still so darn bloated.

*dad is fattening me OTL*

It's been a year...

I was so tired yesterday that I K.Oed and had my dearie to send me home.

Regardless, although we couldn't celebrate our first anniversary together, but I'm happy enough that I got to have dinner dinner and spend some time with him. x]

We had dinner at our favourite fast food restaurant! Ninja Joe! Yummylicious pork burger. Although they had came out with various new recipe, I still prefer my all time favourite, Big Boss. Yummehhh!

Being Asian, photos before the meal!
Only this time, more human in it.

him, posing.

And last picture before the meal began..

Yes, I tricked him on the last second before the click xP

I'm so happy!

Happy anniversary, MK.

I love you ^_^

A random lunch date

It wasn't planned but I manage to go on a "lunch date" with my dearie today. We went to Simply Mel's which is just nearby our office.

Ordered the dish of the day because it sounds good and finish off with ice cream as dessert. I love their "The last polka" ice cream series.

Main reason why I made a quick update is that I wanted to share some photos of the dessert.

We ordered the same flavour, dark chocolate. I just particularly like this flavour because it's not too sweet.
Today, mine got frost on top of it! Not like it has anything related to the taste, just that the frost is just so beautiful that it brings out the asian in me. Taking photo before eating.

*Instagram has really thought our community well*

And the inside~

Look at the frost that formed. It looks like icing!

Obssession

I believe some time before I have shared an album of B1A4 .

As the title says, yes, I'm now obsessed with them lately!

This group is amazing. Their songs are fun. Even if I can't fully understand the lyrics, I like how the song gives me the feel like there's a twist.

The members are fun! Of course, like any other group, I have my bias in that group.
Jinyoung, the leader ♥ or Baro, the rapper... Still more towards Jinyoung because he is a songwriter, singer, and composer. ^__^"

The rest of the members are CNU(the eldest), Sandeul and Gongchan(the maknae).
If you don't know already, B1A4 name actually related to their blood type.
Baro is the only one with B blood type. The rest of the members are A.

There's a few songs that leaves impression in me and some of it is written by Jinyoung himself !
Here's some of their songs in my replay list.

B1A4 - Yesterday
B1A4 - Only Learned Bad Things
B1A4 - Tried to Walk
B1A4 - What's Going On

I've kept "Tried to Walk" in my replay for quite some time before I learned that it is written by Jinyoung himself. The more reason why I like the song. =3

I'm not saying the rest of the songs are bad. I really love their songs. It's fun and nice to listen.
The member of this group are all so young !
The oldest is the same as my age. Jinyoung too is my age.
But he's younger than me by months. sobs.
Oh why are they so charming. =P
*Jon dun jelly ya!*

People asked me, "How's everything so far?"
I really don't know how to answer.
At one point, I'm ok.
I mean, how else could I be?
I have to be ok.

Kak Tuti might be right.
If I'm sad, she might feel worry or burdened or not in peace.

Anyway, one month has passed.
The 40th day is coming this weekend. So is my dad's birthday.
Can't wait to visit mom this weekend.

It still breaks my heart whenever I thought of the last word from my mom.
"I'm cold".
And I couldn't do anything to help her.
I feel useless.
Even the doctor couldn't help her.

I never hear a word from her since.
She could only nod or shake her head.
As the oxygen in the mask was too strong.
Then she was under sedative. When they had tube put into her.
She never woke up ever since.
Even 2 days after sedative was off.

Random advice

Kakak in my office came talk to me randomly..

"You jangan putus asa Joanne. Tuhan maukan dia. Tak mau dia susah susah.. Joanne masih muda lagi. Jangan asyik pikirkan dia. Nanti dia tak tenang. Dia tau. Dia nampak semuanya. Walaupun jasadnya tak ada, tapi dia tau keluarga Joanne macam mana.. dia tau... Rasa kehilangan itu. Kakak pun tau.. tapi kakak tidak putus asa.. Joanne kena banyakkan doa... Doa ikhlas untuk emak Joanne ", with Indonesian accent, and she keeps repeating the same context.

I was holding the tears back.
But she's right. What she says has her points.

I do feel better now.
Although I missed her.
But I guess in order not to make her having any heavy burden..
I suppose I should move on now.
Let her really go in peace.
It takes time. Slowly..

She'll always be in my heart. ^^

I can't...

zzz..
This feels like breaking up.

This is one break up that I never want it to happen. Ever.

Looking at her things.
Everything about her.
All her belongings, the things she used to own.
Everything she used to said.

Everything.
It's still lingering around me.
At times, I'll thought about her words,
even her expressions.

Everything reminds me of her.

Every where I go, I was reminded of her.
zzz..
Even at home.

If a 22 years relationship already feels like this.
What about a 30 years one?

I hope he's doing fine.
I'm more worried about him than myself.

Not yet.. just not yet..

It is still fresh in my mind.
That nurse said..
"Don't be too long. Otherwise when the body harden, it'll be difficult for us to do things"

I almost wanted to shout back,
"SHE IS NOT DEAD YET!"

But I have not lost my sanity to said that.
Part of me already accepted the fact that she is gone.
Part of me hoping it wasn't real.
This is all just a joke.
Some candid camera hidden somewhere.

I still have not move on.

Like a dream

Day 7. It still feels like a dream.
A dream I wish I could wake up from.
I could not believe it really is happening.
If it is a dream.
Wake me up now please.
I had enough.

It's one terrifying nightmare that I do not wish for it to happen at all.

A dream I wish it would come true

I had a dream last night.
She's well again.
She was at home.

She slept on my bed.
When I ask her if she feels comfortable, she just give me a smile.

We went shopping together.
She was happy.
I'm glad too.

I could never forget that angelic smile I see in my dream.

I pray that she will get well soon.
I want to see that angelic smile again.

worried

Nonetheless, I'm worried of mom's unusual behavior.

She got her words all mixed up.
She couldn't speak out the name correctly without mixing up with other words.

Dad bought her juice today.
Since she has to lie down, dad gave her drink through a straw.
She's not even sucking through it. Instead, she's blowing.
Her logic is messed up.
And we only thought her mind is disoriented.
Since the other day when she slept through a day, she keep asking "What is the time now?"
And sad to say, this is not the first time she's not sucking from the straw.. even before she was transferred to ICU.
Ever since last Wednesday.

I'm worried.

Day 3 in ICU, we're still not updated of her condition.

Nurse on duty this morning casually forgot to feed mom.
I know she's not suppose to eat, but she could drink.
They did not feed her any drink since last night.
I'm worried.
How is this Intensive Care?

I don't know how I should feel now.
Seriously.
Probably work distraction is working.

But definitely, I'm worried about her condition.
But I could see some improvement yesterday.
But her condition has always been random.
One day she's fine, active, energetic, the next day, she's in critical mode.

Ok, I guess I'm more on confused and worried now.

waiting..

Pending my tasks on colleague..

now, I can learn how to grow mold! According to this web.

http://www.wikihow.com/Grow-Mold !

8 simple steps. heck. let's not grow mold literally.
it's disgusting.

*rant*
how long more to wait...zzz..
From 2 weeks ago ..
suddenly said done on Monday.
I waited on Tuesday.
Now Wednesday.

Tuesday, July 23, 2013

Just realized, it's Tuesday

It's Tuesday already?

Mom said doctors told her she could be discharged on Monday.. yesterday.
But that was last week.

Well, discharge means?
Back to ICU?
zzz..

Doctor.. how confident are you?

You can't even answer me yesterday.
All you said were "It's complicated. It depends on a lot of factors"

And bro, I'm not asking doctor yesterday about mom's chances..
I'm really referring to the doctor's CONFIDENCE level on getting her well again.
I need some assurance.

again?

Got a call yesterday from dad during my meeting.
"Your mom is back to ICU"

My heart sank.
Why?
The hospital phase is always
ICU to normal ward, normal ward to discharge!

Back to ICU means she's gonna stay longer?
I want mom to be back home!

Doctor said she suddenly got critical.
They'll have to monitor her.
If she still couldn't breathe well, they'll have to put in tube to help with her breathing.
That's their last resort.

Her condition would be critical these 2 days.
Doctor keep saying that her case is critical.
With mom's body so swollen with fluids inside..
doctors would have to release them out so that the water in her stomach bloating her
would not keep pushing towards her diaphragm.
Hopefully she could breathe like normal again.

Mom, I know the oxygen pressure is a little bit too high.
Please be strong.
It hurts me when you keep saying that the oxygen is too cold.
too cold.
Every time you awake from your sleep, the first thing you said is "So cold"
When we're about to leave you after visiting hours, you wanted to stop us.
You said "cold"
It breaks my heart mom.. but please be strong..

Close call

Last Wednesday, I received a message that was the scariest that I ever received. A message from my dad.

That day too, I received a freaky call from my aunt in the noon.

As usual, everyday I would visit my mom at the hospital during my lunch with Jon. She looks fine as my aunt came down from Klang to take care of her.

I went back to my office after visiting and an hour later, I received a call from my aunt. "Jo, can you take half day and come to hospital? Your mom suddenly get seizure and ... (I couldn't hear clearly as I got worried)" Quickly I went to my HR and applied for EL. I couldn't even explain to her when she asked what happened. Rushed all the way to hospital then.

Met my aunt and she told me mom.just got sedated. Apparently the docs were trying a new drug on her and they said it was suppose to help surpress her SLE.

Here goes my aunt's experience. Doctor started the medication at about 2something. My aunt even told my mom "They're putting in new drug for you ok?" "I know". So it started. Not even into one minute. Aunt explained mom was staring at her. Aunt asked if she wants water, mom gave a small nod. So she sip a little from the straw. But she was still staring. Aunt asked again. This time, mom's pupil suddenly looked to her far left edge of her eye (my aunt was sitting on right side).

Aunt quickly called for nurses and doctor and they stopped the medication. Then they lower down the dose and try again. Again, not even one minute, her pupils looked to left again and started to blink her left eye with force and started shouting that she want her doctor. Nurses try to calm her down, my aunt too but my mom insisted and her doctor came and stopped the medication then put her into sedative.

I reached hospital right after that and Doctor explained to me about her condition. He said her the water in her lungs got lesser which was a good news as he compared her scans from first day in ICU and latest one. However, doctor did told me that this drug has side effect, rashes, swelling and dizzy. Mom's was rare case. Other patients who were given this drug only showed those symptoms.

Anyway, later that afternoon they took her to CT Scan.

Bro came. Dad came. Mom was still asleep when I met up with Jon. Soon about an hour later, dad texted me to go stop whatever I'm doing and head back to UH. And the following text says "Doctor said prepare for worse". I rushed over immediately.

Mom was awake. Both my aunt and dad did not tell her what doctor said. Doctor showed my mom's xray and said that her lungs was 90% infected. Only 10% was working fine. Her right side of the brain was swollen and has minor bleeding.

I broke down when dad told me to go out of the ward to explain to me the situation. I couldnt be having mom to see me cried. So I linger at the lobby.

We stayed with her till 11pm. Way past visiting hours. Eric came down all the way from Johor.

We discussed our plan and both Eric and his wife took over to stay overnight when they reached at about 12am+.

We left hospital at 1am and I couldn't sleep well. I anxiously waited for Eric's update. I finally got a text at 4am. Neurologists said mom was stable. As relieved as I was, I still couldnt sleep.

And I still work another half day before I took an EL. I was relieved to see mom sat up and talked to us.

But we're still taking turns to take care of her over the night.

Today is my turn!

Hopefully she'll get better..

Random craving made random adventure

I had a random craving for kangkung last week (well, I crave for lots of food anyway) . So after work, dearie and I went for an adventure to Damansara Uptown's hawker stall to look for sotong kangkung!

It's not like it's famous or what.. It's just the nearest location we could think of to satisfy our craving. Thanks to foursquare. lols.

Not too bad. We order some tauhu bakar as well. Food was just so-so. But my craving were satisfied! :D

Probably there could be another nearer location but we don't know, sadly. It would be great if we could know where is the nearest location for such junk food near Bangsar South City..

Lost World of Tambun

Not so creative with my title.. But anyway, now that I have tiny bit of free time (waiting for my candy crush to recharge. Yes, I'm addicted) let me post up something about my trip to Ipoh last month.

That Saturday got up earlier to meet up with the rest of the group to head over to Lost World of Tambun. Excited as I was, I couldn't sleep even though we left home at 6, slept late on the night before.

On our way, we decided to stop by at Tapah R&R for some light breakfast before heading straight to the theme park. Nothing much to eat there and dearie and I decided to have just nasi lemak as I was told that the place has its brand, expectation of food quality got higher. I was disappointed. Mehhhh..

Anyway, as we arrived,

I was still excited despite the long queue to get in. Lucky we bought our tickets in advance. But it was still quute silly way to go in as the entrance and exit both have to go through their souvenir shop.

Long story short, nothing much to play there. Dry park was just so-so with less ride, I enjoyed most of the water rides. Although it wasn't as much. There's different types of hot spring where we spent most of our time there. We chilled most of our time at the "sea" area and the "river" area (I don't know the exact name). If I have to go again next time, I would probably brainwash the group to go for rides first. The queue was quite long when we decided to go for rides after a half day spent in the park.

After that, we checked in to our hotel and rested and head out again for dinner at local town. Nope, we didn't go for the chicken rice although it's the town's famous delicacy. We went for fried noodles instead. It was good :)

Then we head over to Tong Sui Kai, literally a street where there's mny hawker stalls selling dessert! I had my mixed fruit abc.

We then head over to the end of the street to get some Ramly burger before heading back to our hotel to consume them. Played soms games and we called it a night.

The next day, we went for dim sum. All dim sum restaurants were packed! We have to queue or stand next to the table just because there's no any empty table. It was that bad because the more famous dim sum restaurant were closed on that day. No wonder everyone scattered to every other dim sum restaurant nearby.

We managed to find a place after waited for some time. Although the servers were all busy and we have to do things self service, but we were satisfied with the food.

We had so little for a stomach of 7. Anyway, we went over to buy some food souvenir and then to buy tau fu fah and soya bean at Funny Mountain. I heard it was good since long time ago from my uni housemate. Finally I got the chance to try them.

Another place to queue. But it was worth it! We then head over to another similiar shop where it was run by 3 sisters. We ordered soya bean with mixture of flavoured sugar like ginger, black sugar, gula melaka.. to satisfy our cravings. Another good place.

Then we went to have the famed yong tau foo at a place locally named "Big Tree Trunk" or something like that(I'm bad at direct translating). I met a friend's sister there. HAHA. Such a small world.

The food was good but we were too full to finish them. That was the last of the Ipoh trip as we head back to home after that.

It was good. But the next trip not gonna be so soon as I'm broke. sobs.

Raaaaamen

Last Friday after visiting mommy, dearie and I went for random food hunt for ramen. It was triggered by my colleague when we were deciding where to go for a farewell lunch, then we went off topic and share about ramen.

So he shared with me this Japanese restaurant in Publika. And I triggered dearie too. It was quite late after the visit though. I was worried we might not make it in time. But we thought.. ahh what the heck. If that reataurant closes, we go for another, since dearie hasn't been to Publika before. The more the reason to go.

As we reach, we went straight to look for this restaurant. Not easy to look for it as we thought it was inside the mall, turns out, it's at the outside.

We made our orders and the food came pretty fast too.. I had the Yamagoya Ramen, dearie had the Chasu Ramen and gyoza.

It was delicious! No offence but I enjoy this non-halal japanese ramen more than the more commercialized franchised ones.

Can't wait for dearie to bring me to the other Japanese restaurant in Fahrenheit. He said the broth there taste better!

A random outing

Ahh hardly got time to relax lately. I can't wait for this weekend. Knowing my fate soon in coming week, I hope I enjoy more.

Yesterday had a not-so-random-but- random outing with dearie!
We wanted to try out the new McD grand spicy recipe, so we decided, why not?

I had the new wrap.

I let him officiate the wrap. BUT IT'S STILL MINEEEE!!
(camwhoring)

He can have that all by himself!

It's spicy for me :(

Then we went running some errand for my mom and headed over to arcade. Lol, some teasing and baiting happen meanwhile and his kaki MaiMai friends were there.

I actually wanted to try it for once.. It was a good opportunity since the place were quite empty. No one was lini g up for the game like how it is on weekends or public holiday. But I gave up that intention. I was too shy. And his friends were there too. I tend to be quiet. :X

Anyway, I'm more of an observer than a player myself. So I did enjoyed myself watching them play. But I would like to try it someday. :X

I love June pt.2

That weekend, I went to Genting for some breakaway with dearie with courtesy of Genting for giving the free room.

A little glitch from the perfect getaway, but we still manage to pull it through.. thanks to dearie for being so calm. ♥

Then I finally manage to get on the cable car!!! It was soooooooo nice! I has been a while. Some camwhore in the gondola.

It was quite late when we reached. We were lost looking for our hotel. So we took a rest. Then went for our dinner!

Acting cute!!

We went walk around a little at the plaza watching some street performers at the stage and bought green tea from starbucks! It has also been awhile.. Some random camwhore..

Then we went back to our room and we manage to catch ep 5 of Dream High!
The next day, we had our brunch and Shopping!!

Mehhh.. the food was so so. Dearie didn't enjoy his food. x(

And so, after tired dragging dearie around the plaza, we went back to our room for the legs to rest.
I kinda enjoy this kind of trip where it's just two of us with very ad hoc schedule. x)

We had our dinner later at pizza hut!

Then we went for a walk outside. We took some time looking for the garden place. I'm still not familiar with the map there.

Random shots.

Then we call it our last night of this trip. Had some cup noodles that we brought up while watching random chinese movie on tv and Showdown 2013 where we acted as a judge and supporters as well, shouting like an idiot in front of the tv.

The next day we woke up early and started packing to head home.
It was good because the skyway has less people and we could have to gondola all by ourselves!

And while waiting for bus..

Hikhik. I enjoyed this trip sooo much! Thanks dearie for coming with me! I love you!
