Porkylicious!

Last Saturday, we had a random outing to watch Oblivion. It's just a get together with the rest sice we haven't met each other for a while.

Last Saturday too, I welcomed a new family member to my electronic life. My new lappy from PC Fair!

Aww, look how handsome and sparkling he is!
I'm not sure it's a good bargain or what since dearie told me that lappy price depreciates quickly, but I bought it below my budget for such a brand.

Anyway, we left the fair and headed home to prepare ourselves to leave for another appointment, that is the get-together.

We met up with E and Orange at Orange's place and car pooled together.
Then off we go to meet up the other 5 who was already at Betty Midwest Kitchen!
I've heard of the name before this but I wasn't sure from where.
And I heard of the reputation from the place.
I have a high expectation when I got to know that we're having dinner there.

As we reached, the queue were long!
There were already so many people waiting outsude the restaurant for a table.
Since they do not seat incomplete party, the rest of them waited outside and began deciding on their order.
The size of the restaurant is quite small so I guess that's the main reason why they don't seat incomplete party.

We then got seated but separated into two tables since there's no room to combine the tables. Too bad.
But regardless, we had our fun when dearie was playing the "messenger" between the two tables (Since he got the "special" stool). He had to pass the message between the tables where we could actually communicate with each other if we speak loudly anyway.

The service there was good as they took our orders through tablet and the food was served rather quick.
I was told that their pork chop with gravy was nice and "dog food" was highly recommended, I have my expectations high again.

"Dog food" was fries with melted gravy and cheese on it.

The "Dog Food" tasted awesome with the cheese. And I'm still craving for it right now.

Dearie ordered pork ribs..

And I forgot to take a picture of my pork chop. :( Basically it's grilled pork chop with the "Dog Food" gravy, minus the cheese.

Anyway, to be honest, the pork ribs tasted better than the recommended pork chop. The ribs were so tender and it's cooked just right. Slightly more expensive than pork chop but it was worth it!

Then later we parted ways with XY and went for our movie at Trop City where I met my ex colleague and uni friends. LOL. Small world indeed.

As for the movie.. Since futuristic movie is not my type, but the plot was good, I'll rate it a 7 out of 10?

Chuuu~♡

It was quite unexpected.

Yesterday as decided, I'm having dinner at Jon's place.
As we arrived at his home, I wanted to grab the umbrella from the backseat as it was raining cats and dogs but Jon hold me back and asked me to close my eyes.
Being suspicious but curious at the same time, I followed what he told me to do.
He then dig something out from his bag and told me to turn around. Which I did.
And he put something over my neck and tried to hook it, but failed. HAHA.
Clumsy.
But boy was I surprise. Although it has just been 6months. I never really expected a gift from him.
I thought the date on Monday was it.
Just some quality time spent together on Monday, watching movie, dinner, window shopping, but I never expected a gift.
And it's beautiful!

I like it very much.
I was so delighted and I appreciate his thoughts.
Silly him, saying that it's not expensive. Heck, I don't care about its monetary value.
The thought that counts and I was indeed surprised.
Sometimes a little surprises makes life interesting. :D

Thanks dear for the gift!
Love you!

Still thought it was a dream.

Last night about 9 something I went up to bathroom upstairs to brush my teeth. When I was in the bathroom, I looked at the mirror and I feel dizzy. Ignoring it, I took my toothbrush and began to squeeze the toothpaste with the other hand. As I was doing it, my vision got blurry. The next thing I knew I was on the floor lying down flat.

I saw dad came up from living room and asked me what's wrong. I walked few steps and I was still dizzy. I leaned down on the counter we had at the upstairs pathway. I told him I was dizzy and I fainted. Dad immediately told me to lie down in their room. My whole body still feels heavy as I crawled on the bed.

When I lied down, I explained to him what just happened as he tells me his side of the story before he came up and saw me helplessly floating towards the counter.

Mom was downstairs with dad when they heard the loud noise from upstairs. A loud sound like someone fell. Mom claimed that she called me few times from downstairs but I did not respond. Mom asked dad then to check out the sound. That's when I saw dad came upstairs.

I guess I bump onto my chin as I fell because it hurts till now and I realized my shoulder had a scratch as it brushed against the floor.

Still felt like it wasn't real..
I've never fainted before.

Random food tryout

As usual the dilemma when it comes to food. "What to eat for dinner?" The usual question we ask each other everytime when we decided to have dinner together after work.

But this time it was a quick decision. To try out the Smashies Burger that we've been eyeing on while we were driving back on the way through Jalan Genting Klang.

The concept was quite interesting. At the moment there's only a few items on the menu. But they were named interestingly. Such as 'I Am Single' , 'Twilight Bella' which is vegetarian and has the portobello mushroom, Hot Chick which I tried that night.. a few other burgers which I couldn't recall their names.

The waitress there was quite friendly and helpful as she saw us staring at the chalkboard deciding.. ot maybe just plain wondering what's with the burgers. She came over and explained to us about their burgers. They have several types. Red, Yellow, Black and Orange. I saw green in their display, but I didn't see them in the menu description. Maybe it's the vegetarian mushroom. As she explained Red buns are made from herbs(I forgot what herb she mentioned), Yellow are from dal, Black made from Charcoal and Orange are.. from orange. She did mentioned that their best seller is the beef patties. Their beef are from Australia.

So I tried the Hot Chick (chicken patties) and he tried the menu of the day (beef). He wanted to change the buns to black one, but it was out of stock. So he got the red one instead.

Finally, it came. Tadaa..

It tastes good. And the portion is huge. We added sides.. fries and drinks.

Environment was quite good too. Maybe because it was still new. But it's quite pricey. Just the burger itself, it ranges between RM10~18.
I could not possibly go there everyday, but it's okay once in a blue moon. :D
