Last Saturday, we had a random outing to watch Oblivion. It's just a get together with the rest sice we haven't met each other for a while.
Last Saturday too, I welcomed a new family member to my electronic life. My new lappy from PC Fair!
Aww, look how handsome and
sparkling he is!
I'm not sure it's a good bargain or what since dearie told me that lappy price depreciates quickly, but I bought it below my budget for such a brand.
Anyway, we left the fair and headed home to prepare ourselves to leave for another appointment, that is the get-together.
We met up with E and Orange at Orange's place and car pooled together.
Then off we go to meet up the other 5 who was already at Betty Midwest Kitchen!
I've heard of the name before this but I wasn't sure from where.
And I heard of the reputation from the place.
I have a high expectation when I got to know that we're having dinner there.
As we reached, the queue were long!
There were already so many people waiting outsude the restaurant for a table.
Since they do not seat incomplete party, the rest of them waited outside and began deciding on their order.
The size of the restaurant is quite small so I guess that's the main reason why they don't seat incomplete party.
We then got seated but separated into two tables since there's no room to combine the tables. Too bad.
But regardless, we had our fun when dearie was playing the "messenger" between the two tables (Since he got the "special" stool). He had to pass the message between the tables where we could actually communicate with each other if we speak loudly anyway.
The service there was good as they took our orders through tablet and the food was served rather quick.
I was told that their pork chop with gravy was nice and "dog food" was highly recommended, I have my expectations high again.
"Dog food" was fries with melted gravy and cheese on it.
The "Dog Food" tasted awesome with the cheese. And I'm still craving for it right now.
Dearie ordered pork ribs..
And I forgot to take a picture of my pork chop. :( Basically it's grilled pork chop with the "Dog Food" gravy, minus the cheese.
Anyway, to be honest, the pork ribs tasted better than the recommended pork chop. The ribs were so tender and it's cooked just right. Slightly more expensive than pork chop but it was worth it!
Then later we parted ways with XY and went for our movie at Trop City where I met my ex colleague and uni friends. LOL. Small world indeed.
As for the movie.. Since futuristic movie is not my type, but the plot was good, I'll rate it a 7 out of 10?
