Lost World of Tambun

Not so creative with my title.. But anyway, now that I have tiny bit of free time (waiting for my candy crush to recharge. Yes, I'm addicted) let me post up something about my trip to Ipoh last month.

That Saturday got up earlier to meet up with the rest of the group to head over to Lost World of Tambun. Excited as I was, I couldn't sleep even though we left home at 6, slept late on the night before.

On our way, we decided to stop by at Tapah R&R for some light breakfast before heading straight to the theme park. Nothing much to eat there and dearie and I decided to have just nasi lemak as I was told that the place has its brand, expectation of food quality got higher. I was disappointed. Mehhhh..

Anyway, as we arrived,

I was still excited despite the long queue to get in. Lucky we bought our tickets in advance. But it was still quute silly way to go in as the entrance and exit both have to go through their souvenir shop.

Long story short, nothing much to play there. Dry park was just so-so with less ride, I enjoyed most of the water rides. Although it wasn't as much. There's different types of hot spring where we spent most of our time there. We chilled most of our time at the "sea" area and the "river" area (I don't know the exact name). If I have to go again next time, I would probably brainwash the group to go for rides first. The queue was quite long when we decided to go for rides after a half day spent in the park.

After that, we checked in to our hotel and rested and head out again for dinner at local town. Nope, we didn't go for the chicken rice although it's the town's famous delicacy. We went for fried noodles instead. It was good :)

Then we head over to Tong Sui Kai, literally a street where there's mny hawker stalls selling dessert! I had my mixed fruit abc.

We then head over to the end of the street to get some Ramly burger before heading back to our hotel to consume them. Played soms games and we called it a night.

The next day, we went for dim sum. All dim sum restaurants were packed! We have to queue or stand next to the table just because there's no any empty table. It was that bad because the more famous dim sum restaurant were closed on that day. No wonder everyone scattered to every other dim sum restaurant nearby.

We managed to find a place after waited for some time. Although the servers were all busy and we have to do things self service, but we were satisfied with the food.

We had so little for a stomach of 7. Anyway, we went over to buy some food souvenir and then to buy tau fu fah and soya bean at Funny Mountain. I heard it was good since long time ago from my uni housemate. Finally I got the chance to try them.

Another place to queue. But it was worth it! We then head over to another similiar shop where it was run by 3 sisters. We ordered soya bean with mixture of flavoured sugar like ginger, black sugar, gula melaka.. to satisfy our cravings. Another good place.

Then we went to have the famed yong tau foo at a place locally named "Big Tree Trunk" or something like that(I'm bad at direct translating). I met a friend's sister there. HAHA. Such a small world.

The food was good but we were too full to finish them. That was the last of the Ipoh trip as we head back to home after that.

It was good. But the next trip not gonna be so soon as I'm broke. sobs.
