Movie night!

So McDonald's launched 2 new recipe. McEgg Deluxe and Beef & Egg. Well they said 3 that valued RM 5.95 each. But another one being McChicken so I assume it's not new? Anyone tried? Any difference?

Anyway, Jon and I heard it on the radio yesterday so we've decided to have a movie night at my house tonight. Which.. is.. yesterday night.. if you've considered now being Wednesday already.

As planned, we ordered McEgg Deluxe and Beef & Egg from McD drive thru and head over to my home.

Put in Petaling Street Warrior and hit the play button hence enjoy our dinner!

It was an old film of December 2011. I just wiki-ed. Starred by Namewee and Mark Lee so it interest me to watch it.



Not too bad. It has some funny elements. But I was expecting for more. So I would give it a 4/10. They could do better.

Food, 8/10. I like both that we ordered. McEgg had cheese. yummy. But it's fast food. I can't give it too high. It's not healthy. Besides, by the time we reached home, the fries started to get soggy and coke has became tasteless. sigh.

It was a good night. The temperature was cooling because of the rain. It was good that we could spend some time like this together. ^_^

Belated Valentine's day

While I'm at it, why not I post about today as well.

As planned Jon and I went out together today. Went over to Ikea as I was looking for some bathroom stuff which I thought they might sell it there. We first head over to the food cafe there to had our late brunch :D

I have always heard of IKEA's meatball's reputation as it was worth to wait for so I decided to give it a try.
All the time I've been to IKEA, I had never once tried their meatballs. I almost never stepped into their cafe too. This time, I took the opportunity to try with my dear. We were both surprised with the queue. It was soooo long. We observed each person's tray. And each of them had at least a plate of 10 meatballs. So we reckon that it was good.

The long queue got shorter in time and it was finally our turn. We took a piece of dark chocolate cake, and ordered 20meetballs and 2 plates of spaghetti. LOL. Hungry person decides massive amount of food. Dear paid for our meal and we off to look for a place to sit in that crowded place.

As it wasn't that difficult to look for a place for two, we quickly got our seats settled and tried the famous meatballs.

And it was good! So was their spaghetti. But we were quite full when it came down to our 7th piece. We gobbled everything in the end regardless.

Then we walked around in IKEA and also The Curve. I only manage to get something similar to what I'm looking for in Daiso. I was quite disappointed that IKEA doesn't have the item that I was looking for. At least I thought they might sell them. But oh wells, I kinda got what I wanted.

We walked around for few more moments before we decided to buy my curry puff from IKEA and head home.

Jon joins me for dinner that night as my family dined out. I was glad and enjoyed the last day of my leave with him.

I enjoyed spending the belated Valentine's day with him shopping aimlessly looking even at house deco. Lols. Thanks dear! xD

Definitely a good brunch. I'm still burping meatballs during dinner with my family. PUHAHAHA..

Just Visiting

I'm just gonna skip day 3&4 of CNY since bloggerdroid ate both my posts. Failed. And I'm too lazy to type again.

Let's just summarized my CNY in Penang that I got my red packet, met my cousin, had Penang hawker food, and got back home safe and sound with 5hours journey.

On Day 5, we went over to my cousin's house in Cheras. This cousin is my mom's side.
Just some catch up and some additional weight gaining from the New Year cookie they offered :D

Eric and his wife came later on after finished dealing with his things. They chatted and catched up while I play with my nephew.

Adam was shy initially but he opened up and show off his toys. His angry bird collections. Lol.
Played with him as he brought out more toys. And pheww... time for us to go home. Little Adam poses for the camera when he got more familiar with me.


As I got home, I head out again to Jon's house to bai nian. It wad raining but I was in luck. Ethan was still around! Ethan is his nephew who just turned 1 year old. I was suppose to join his family for dinner but due to the bad crawl back to KL from Penang the night before, I couldn't make it back on time.

I managed to play with Ethan while he's still around although I'm still shy with his uncles and aunt still around.

I stayed back for dinner that night when his relatives went back to their home few hours later when the rain wasn't that heavy.
I managed to get a few extra angpaos too! :P

I stayed in Jon's room while watching half of Stolen, Ah Boys to Men, and Brave. Then had home cooked food with his family. His mom really cooks deliciously! I enjoyed his mom's cooking very much.

Someday I gotta pick up my cooking skills too. I gotta improve it. D:

Ohh! not to mention, I got to spend half the day of V-day with Jon too! At least. Our first Valentine's day together :D

CNY day 2

Still in Penang today but with more productive day.

Woke up in the morning dressed to welcome the second day of CNY



Cousin dropped my niece and nephew over at our apartment while she went and watched Psy who is happened to be in town for a minister's open house. My aunt was here too to take care of them. Both being 8yrs old and his younger sis 4.
Don't want to talk about how I dislike this but you should know the reason of me disliking the sense of responsibility of their mom. sigh.

Another cousin and her hubby came over to visit soon later with my dad's eldest brother and his family.
And of course, this cousin brought along her baby boy, little Darwin who was just 6mths old.



While they were busy chatting at the living room, I went into the roon with my niece and nephew and torture my nephew. MUAHAHAHHA. A very common question, "Got gf dy ah?" LOL. Poor kid. Denying the fact but spilled it in the end. He wasn't as mischieveous as before. In fact, eversince he started schooling he has turned to be better with sense of responsibility that he took care of his younger sister. Although, he's still quite naughty at times. But kids will be kids, boys will be boys. So I guess it takes time.
After some catch up between the brothers we went over to another aunt's house for lunch.
Without fail, it has been like our tradition to have lunch at my dad's second sister's house. Her husband cooks well. Yummy!
Little Darwin fell asleep as we have our lunch.. And woke up as soon as we finished our meal. As of he knows mummy is busy eating so he sleeps. And woke up to keep mummy busy when she's free. lols.



Darwin likes to be carried. Not just normal carrying. That person also needs to move around. Else Darwin will whine. haha. He was spoiled like that. Even when he's in his stroller, his mummy has to move the stroller about.

Then later we had some tea with uncle that is Chinese tea which I enjoyed it very much. I don't get much chance to just sit down and chillax enjoying the taste of Ti Guan Yin tea. One of my favourite Chinese tea. I sounded like an old woman there. sigh.

Anyway.. after we went back to our apartment, there isn't much to do besides waiting for dinner then later that night, my cousin got back from the Psy concert a.k.a the open house and came over to visit us at our apartment. Yippeee.. more ang pau!

Pretty much that's about it on day 2. Really nothing much ..

CNY day 1

Nothing much done today. Didn't go for any house visiting.

Came back to Penang here as the journey started at 6am and reaching at about 9:30am. As soon as we got here, we wanted to eat the local food. Hawker food that is.
We tried our luck with Super Tanker. But none of the stalls were open. Sadly. We went for Nasi Kandar instead. Had a simple light brunch before we head over to our apartment.
Met up with bro and his wife when we were at the apartment guard house and checked in together at this homestay.

The house wasn't too far from how we saw it from the advertisement. No complains. We were only gonna stay here for few nights.
After unpacking our stuffs and settle down, we rested.
Dad especially since he drove all the way here alone.

I couldn't get myself a nap because bro was on my bed and his bed were full of his things. zzz.
Besides, I was still quite full from the later tea time McD that bro bought at 3pm.

Anyhow, we manage to get some hawker food during dinner. I was craving for Char Kuey Teow since I couldn't get any on my last visit to Penang.



I also tried Leng Chee Kang. Some iced dessert.



Well, the noodles wasn't up to my satisfactory level. I was quite disappointed. The regular stalls was not open tonight. Before we went back to our apartment, we bought some Belacan Chicken. Hmm.. Maybe not the chicken. Haha. I bought some fried chicken skin instead. I got influenced by my housemates during uni.


Well, I guess that concludes for my CNY day 1 in Penang. Nothing much done today. Except eating. Uggghh. I can feel my tummy already. We shall start our house visitting tomorrow ^_^

An outing with my dearest

Randomly made an outing with MK last Saturday.

Since I couldn't get anything last Friday, I wanted to try again..
And so we went to One Utama. To our surprise, the road was quite clear despite that it was a week before Chinese New Year where we expect everyone to make their last minute shopping.
But we were deceived by the emptiness on the road as it was hell when we entered the parking.
We had to make a few turns in the parking lot and stalked the shoppers who were leaving.

Nevertheless, we managed to find ourselves a parking spot which is quite near the entrance =D

And so, let the hunting begin!

This time I kinda know what I'm looking for.
A dress, skirt, or blouse.
Gotta stop mom from complaining that I didn't wear any dress whenever she sees my cousin sister's photos.
"Look at your cousin, she's wearing a dress, that looks more lady like.. Why don't you also try on dresses?"
"Yes mom, I'll look for it.."
That's my typical answer.
It lasts me for more than a year.
But to be honest, I haven't got much interest in dresses.. not as much as t-shirt :D

Anyhow, I managed to find a dress which I was eyeing on..
Then we went for dinner. *good thing, otherwise I would have bigger tummy before the fitting xO*
We head over to Kim Gary..

That night we also managed to watch movie together,
as I suggested to watch Taxi! Taxi! because Ah boy was talking about it the day before.

It was a bad experience with GSC there though.
After 10 minutes into the movie, it was a total blackout of the screen.
We are able to hear some audio playing, but there was just no video.
The technician managed to get the film up after 5~10 minutes of total darkness in the hall.
That also after the whole crowd in cinema made noises.
But sadly there was no playback of the missing scenes during the blackout.
Kinda bad service. I am still disappointed with it.
No problem with the movie though.
Just that I was disappointed with the management.

Then after movie it was already late,
I went fulfill my mom's order to get her O'briens sandwich, and then we left the mall.

It was still a good night that I got to spend it with him.
And I got to buy something.. at least..
I'm not such a good shopper myself. =P

It was a relaxing Friday as I was on holiday.
It's the Federal holiday =D

But despite the holiday, I was looking forward for the meet up that night.
There was suppose to be another meet up with MK's friends to have dinner at Suki-ya
but I passed. As much as I wanted to eat all the meat I can there, I was more towards meeting up with my uni friends since we haven't met each other for quite some time..

Johnson couldn't made it that night.
So it was left with us four after meeting up with Boy, Mai and Chua.

Ah boy treated us dinner at Kiku Zakura..

Though I didn't talk much during the meal, but I enjoyed listening to what happened..
Since ah boy didn't join us in the mamak meet up.

After dinner, we went heels and bags hunting with Mai..
I wanted to look for my CNY clothes too..
But I guess I was still shy shopping with friends..
Besides, I don't know what I'm looking for.
I couldn't look for a single thing that I wanted.

Guess I really need to change my wardrobe eh?
