Glad I survived.

It was a good Monday to begin with.
Just like every other Monday blues, but slightly better.
It was the Monday of school holiday.
which means less traffic

Working just like every other Monday, expecting a team meeting by the end of the day. And to fetch my mom from work after that.

It was near 5pm, we got a skype message from our team manager..
"Meeting postponed to Wednesday, 5pm"
Oh well, it got postponed.
"There goes my scripted weekly updates in my head", I thought.

Continue working as usual as I put on my earphone on one side of my ear.

It was about 6:05pm, I skyped Jon to wait another 10mins so that I could finish up just a little bit of what I'm working on.
Then I heard a loud bang from the other side of the office. "Brrronnggg!".. I thought the embedded team was moving things at their side. I ignored it.
Then another loud bang. "Brroaannngg! Braanngg!"
I ignored it still. Same thought as earlier.
Until I saw the far end of the other side of the office as they were talking and pointing towards the ceiling.
I got curious.
Then another colleague came over to my manager's place and I overheard something about the ceiling fell.
"Woaahh? So that was the source of noise?"
I told my colleague seated in front of my cubicle and went over to the place where it happened.
To my surprised, the ceiling of the meeting room where I was supposed to have my weekly team meeting, fell.

I felt so lucky that my manager postponed the meeting. Else we would get injured from this.
My manager could be the only one escaped as his seat is the only part that doesn't got hit when the ceiling collapse. Lol.

Congratulations!

Yesterday I had my chance to went for Indian wedding.
First time attending one  though.
So I didn't know what to expect. Or how it was done.
I've seen on television, but it's so traditional!
So I ended up asking around my friends how it was done.
HAHA.

So it was my neighbour's eldest daughter, Sathiya's wedding.
I'm not really close to her but I've known her younger sis since we were same age and we went to the same school.
Nevertheless, we've been neighbours for more than 20 years.
So we were invited to the wedding dinner which was held at the SJK(C) Chung Kwo Hall.

As we enter, there's a table where friends and relatives drop and sign on the guestbook and give their best wishes to the newly wed!

To my impression, this hall was really huge!
Air conditioned, with lighting effects, 2 big projector screens, huge stage, can even fit more than 50 tables in there.
I'm amazed how this school manage to have such good hall with good parking arrangement.

So while waiting for the event to begin, I camwhored. :P

 And with mommy..

And finally, the emcee came out!

Well, maybe there were more elder people in the hall, the participation wasn't as good when the emcee ask how is everyone doing.
Response were quite dead.
HAHA..Nevertheless, he tried. =x
And finally, the long awaited couple arrived!
The King and Queen of the day! Arrived into the hall with a group of dancers leading!

Camera wasn't good enough to shot in dark.
Anyway, what a good looking couple. :)

Follow suit after that, the dancers went up on stage and performed the traditional dance.
I enjoyed watching it.
It never fails to interest me on traditional dance.
Glad that it wasn't dead as the generation continues. :D

Then after the bride and groom was called up on stage along with their parents for champagne ceremony. This feels like the Chinese wedding, where they opened up the champagne bottle,
and poured them over the tower of glasses and let it flow to the bottom of the glass.

  

What difference is, they didn't shout "YAM SENG" !

all they did was asking the crowd to say together "God bless the couple"

Then there were some montage.

After that, everyone was asked to have the food that was prepared at the side of the hall.

Buffet style.

Queue was damn long. I guess people were hungry. HAHA.

The food was not bad. 

But there was no refill of papadam T_T"

It was finished when I reached the end of the queue.

Nevertheless, it was a simple meal, they were mutton, curry chicken, mixed vege, acar, fruits, and papadam.

There were 2 types of rice though. White rice and another flavoured rice.. I'm not sure.. kurma rice?

I took the flavoured rice. haha.

It was nice. But the mutton was a little bit too spicy for me. sobs.

Chores chores chores!

Lately I've been spending time at my parents' home doing chores.

There's just so many places to clean.
Mom has been unwell, so someone gotta do something.
Second bro hardly come back to KL,
Eldest bro worked even on weekends or sometimes go for date. pfft.
So basically, I'm the only one left.

Not that I wanted to complaint much.
I actually have more fun cleaning and throwing unwanted items.
Things that have been hoarding around my house, now I have the authority to throw them all away.
I've warned my parents.
"If you want me to clean, I'm gonna throw everything that I've seen it been staying at the same spot for over the years. Don't tell me to keep them because it's gonna stay for another year if I do"

It's tiring though to have this mission.
Mom wanted to go out on weekend since .. well, it's the weekend.
And now that her legs are feeling better, she wants to go shopping.
But I'm seriously not in the mood for it.
It's a friggin weekend! I'm off from work.
I wanted rest. :(
But regardless, I spend the day out with mom, and doing chores after that.

Strangely, I kinda have fun doing chores.
The sweat, then the feeling when the place is finally tidier.
And the moment when I see some old memories.
Like old photos lying around the place, my old collection of kpop stuff.
Gehh.. time to move on! :D

Best time was when I'm doing the chores.
I forget about other things.
Too focus I think.
Not a bad thing ^_^"

Now I just want to keep cleaning up till my mission is success!
perrghh.. backache already.

My expression sometimes does not reflect how I really feel inside.
I'm creepy that way.
You just need to know me better before telling me that you understands me.

It's impossible for you to say that "I know you well"
Because I don't even know myself well.

I'll just shut up when you said that 
because I'd like to see how well you know me.
Before you start judging me.
