CNY 2015

Hey Ho!~

Happy CNY again. This year around we brought extra pax back to Penang to celebrate CNY with us! Not my little niece Natalia as expected, but we brought my brother's adopted daughter along!

This was the very first time she followed us to Penang and it was also a very last minute decision. Despite there might be language barrier, she actually did pretty well with my cousin-niece!

Alright, 2 days before CNY, my brother got back to KL with his family to celebrate CNY with us. Halfway through, I learnt that his car (which used to be my dad's) air con pulley came off on the highway! Of course he didn't pick them up. So they traveled back to KL without air con. Poor them and baby Natalia was sweating the whole way through! My brother had that air con serviced back in JB before he got back.

They fixed the air con issue the day after in KL and so we traveled back on first day of CNY to Penang. We go back in two cars as my brother has his own plans when we were up North. Halfway through, that car's air con pulley came off again! ON HIGHWAY! So they stopped at the nearest RnR to have sister in law and their two daughters switched over to dad's car, while I volunteered to sit in his car because I wanted to chat with my brother along the way.

Things were alright as my brother shared with me his life experiences and plans. So along the way, my brother has been talking most of the time and being my brother, he also questioned me some stuff which I feel intimidated to answer like "What is your goal of life?". In fact, I really don't know. He himself has been starting some small business as side income and even my elder brother indirectly is doing it too. But here I am, writing blog.

It was a nice chat since I rarely talk to him. I've always see this brother as my role model. So every time when I wanted to talk to him, I hesitated as I feel I'm not good enough to prove to him that I am as good. The fact that he rarely come back to KL also contributes to the less talk factor.

My brother was sweating all the way, while I..... still feel chilly from the wind from outside the window. Regardless, we reach our destination safely.

That night, we had a little pot luck at my cousin's place, chit chat and some bonding between my uncles and aunts with my dad after so long.

Here's us. :)

And there's Tasha sitting close to my cousin-niece. Look at the brother of her, got isolated as the two became best sisters. There was once, the both of them were inside playing and the door was closed. Her brother knocked and said "Do you want to build a snow man?" But no response. Poor boy. Hahaha. I had a good laugh on that one.

Regardless, I hope the bonding of the family stays strong and that we're able to meet up like this every year and the generations to come can be close like this too!
