That being said, I just continued to write this post after a week. The mock up was long done actually, I was just caught up with meetings.
I'm not sure how many of my colleagues know about this blog of mine, but here's the supposedly no-longer-a-secret-'s-secret.... *cue drum roll*......
I HAVE TENDERED MY RESIGNATION!
It wasn't such a rush decision. I've been thinking about it since last year. In fact, not like my company is treating me bad. I just feel like I don't want to delay it anymore and I wanted to make a move.
Here's a few words about my company and reason behind my decision.
I've been in this company since January 2012 as an intern. In fact, being an intern was my very first time experience working life. I do not have any past experience in working or being in an office before.
Let me summarize my intern life. Working here as an intern, I learned a lot. More specifically on being hands on on real project and first time working on Android from scratch. I have a good guidance from my ex manager. Since it was an internal project, I didn't get much pressure and stress on the deadline. I slowly enhance and learn to write code with better quality and standard. Those are pretty much thanks to the guidance and advice from my seniors here. There are many jargon that I learned too and also to speak like a programmer. You know, applying those jargon into everyday life conversation. I used to be afraid of code review. Knowing that my code will definitely get some comments because I was inexperience but I know it was a good thing so to improve oneself and the code quality.
One fine day, after a month into my internship, my ex manager offered me a permanent position in this company. Which I must say, I was very delighted. I get good reviews from him and I was happy to accept the position. My simple thought was that I don't have to go through interviews! That wasn't the only reason. I actually enjoy working here. The people are nice and friendly, more importantly they are willing to teach me this newbie!
Over the years, I got to know them better and grew closer to them. After some time, one-by-one of my closest colleague, left and move on with their new job. Oh ya! Here is where I got to know Jon too ♥.. So Syntronic has definitely made my life fruitful besides technically, socially too. I got to know kak Tutik even better and grew close to her like a younger sister. After my mom's passing, I tend to ask her for advice on family things whether about relationship or chores. I feel like she's a motherly figure to me although she insist on saying she's like a sister to me. Haha.
I used to be quiet, then talkative but I guess all changed when the closer group of mine had left. I became less talkative and tend to keep myself reserved. I learned to talk more with my manager at that moment because our team used to go for lunch together. It all gone when I learned to get used to it. That manager had resigned too. I look up to him for many matters. If he is married, he would be like a fatherly figure to me in the office. I felt surprise when I hear the news from him. Nevertheless, I wouldn't bet that he would stay for long anyway. Everyone has their own path. Even I do now.
So there you go, my life in Syntronic which had taught me many things and let me experience the many kinds of people on earth. An eye opener to me since I was quite an introvert. I learned to be more expressive and be more observant of the people around me. This company is really good for freshies. I don't know how it is like for the new comers, but as for me, this company is really good for my learning curve as freshie. I even got to deal with customers directly, of course, on technical terms only.
Such a long post about my working life. Hah !
Oh before I forget, I remembered I read an article before that says that if one employee decorates their cubicle/station with their personal items, that employee is feeling comfortable at work. It is a good vibe. I'll share a photo of my messy cubicle at work when I have the chance. (I decorated before I read the article)
